Brian Jason Martin

Not a resume.
A record.

I've built things from nothing — and made them matter. At 20, I walked into a Manhattan studio and learned commercial art from the ground up. At 28, I built the first digital delivery platform for pre-production art, two days before the world stopped, and incorporated the day after.

I'm equal parts creative and commercial. I've sketched storyboards and closed enterprise accounts. I've written backend code and cold-called strangers who became long-term clients. I've navigated bankruptcy, a decade of litigation, and market collapses — and I've rebuilt every time.

The throughline? I always find a way. I see the picture before it exists, and I don't stop until it does.

The Solutionist

The Long
Game.

Three decades across two industries, one constant: always building.

1993

GEM Studios

Illustrator → Senior Creative Director & Head of Sales · Manhattan, NY

Joined as a 20-year-old illustrator, hired out of an accelerated program at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Promoted to lead creative direction, new business development, and pre-production for one of Manhattan's most competitive commercial studios. Stayed eight years and left running the room.

2013

Green Light Studios LLC

Founder · NYC Metro

Restructured and continued operating through the post-2010 advertising market collapse. Adapted the business model as the industry shifted away from traditional pre-production workflows. Navigated one of the hardest periods of his life — professionally and personally — and came out the other side.

2014

T&T International → FedEx

Driver → Inside Sales → International Account Executive · Moonachie, NJ

Started over from scratch — literally driving delivery routes at night — and reached International Account Management in under five months. Grew a $1.7M portfolio to $2.25M in 18 months (27% growth). FedEx acquired T&T specifically for its dominant European freight network.

2019

Pierce Eagle Equipment

Account Executive — NJ/NY Territory

B2B sales of industrial pipe inspection, cleaning, and hydro-excavation equipment to municipalities, contractors, and utility teams across New Jersey and New York. Consultative selling for complex infrastructure needs; built long-term relationships with public sector clients.

2022

Hungate Mediation Services

Operations & Client Relations · Montclair, NJ

Managing all operations for a high-volume mediation practice — full calendar management, scheduling 12+ months ahead, processing legal documentation, coordinating proceedings, and maintaining client relationships at scale.

Range is
the Skill.

Founding & Building

Solo founder who built a $4M+/year company from scratch — product, tech, sales, and operations. No playbook, no co-founder, no excuses.

Sales & Business Development

Closed enterprise accounts, grew international portfolios, and opened doors with nothing but a cold list and a phone. Relationships stick.

Creative Direction

Spent a decade in Manhattan commercial art. Built UX/UI for a digital platform before UX was a job title. Still sketches everything first.

Product & Tech

Built the backend and front-end of Green Light Studios solo. Designed the UX. Handled GTM. Did it a decade before anyone called it a "tech startup."

Visual Art & Design

Illustrator, landscape designer, and lifelong artist. Trained at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon. The vision always comes first.

The Solutionist

Whatever the problem — operational, creative, technical, relational — there's an answer. Usually found before anyone thought to look.
